News:
A disturbing video has emerged from Godhra's Kanku Thambhala area in Gujarat, where a young man was beaten and tied to the bonnet of a car before being driven around the town. The incident occurred after the youth was allegedly caught attempting to steal pesticides and food from a local shop.

The video, which quickly went viral on social media, shows the youth tied to the front of the car as it drives through the streets. Enraged by the attempted theft, the shopkeeper and his associates reportedly took matters into their own hands, assaulting the youth and subjecting him to public humiliation by tying him to the vehicle.

As the footage circulated online, it caught the attention of local authorities. Godhra Taluka Police promptly registered cases against both the youth involved in the theft and the individuals who carried out the assault. Deputy Superintendent of Police NV Patel confirmed the incident, stating that the police are taking the matter seriously and are investigating all parties involved.

"This incident happened on August 29 when a youth tried to steal things from a shopping centre in the Kanku Thambhala area. A video of the youth being beaten, tied to a car's bonnet, and driven around went viral on social media. Based on that video, police have registered a case against the youth who attempted the theft and those who tied him to the bonnet and beat him," said Deputy Superintendent Patel.

The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the rise of vigilantism in India, with concerns being raised about individuals taking the law into their own hands rather than reporting crimes to the police. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal actions will be determined based on the findings.
