Starting today, September 1, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has been increased nationwide, with a Rs 39 hike for a 19 kg cylinder in Delhi. This brings the new retail price to Rs 1,691.50, as per the latest announcement by oil marketing companies.

The revised rates, which have taken effect immediately, mark the second increase in recent months. On August 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was raised by Rs 8.50 across various metro cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. In Delhi, the price increased to Rs 1,652.50, while in Kolkata, it rose to Rs 1,764.50. The price in Mumbai reached Rs 1,605, and in Chennai, it climbed to Rs 1,817.

This latest increase comes on the heels of a Rs 30 reduction in July, when the price in Delhi was lowered to Rs 1,646 from Rs 1,676. Similar reductions were made across other major cities. In Chennai, the price dropped to Rs 1,809 from Rs 1,840, and in Kolkata, it was reduced to Rs 1,756 from Rs 1,787.

Earlier this year, on June 1, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder was decreased by around Rs 69, following a Rs 19 reduction in May. These fluctuations reflect ongoing adjustments by oil companies in response to market conditions.
