The state government's attorney general, Birendra Saraf, assured the court that all necessary steps would be taken to protect children. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to conduct a thorough and swift inquiry. On August 27, the court will hear an affidavit detailing the actions taken by Badlapur Police before the case was transferred to the SIT.
To protest against the alleged assault, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has called for a Maharashtra bandh on August 24. The alliance partners had come here to discuss seat sharing formulas. However, after the Badlapur incident, we decided not to discuss seat sharing and instead discussed law and order. There is agitation in Maharashtra and FIRs have been filed against protesters,” Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut said Wednesday.
