During his polygraph test on Sunday, Sanjay Roy, the man accused of raping and killing a 31-year-old doctor inside Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, confessed to the crime.
In a lie detector test, Sanjay Roy told the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) he had been to a red-light district with his friend hours before the crime. He did not have sex, however.
India Today reported that Sanjay Roy had also confessed to molesting another person on the street.
According to the channel, Sanjay Roy asked for nude photos of his girlfriend via video call.
Sanjay Roy and his friend had drinks on the night of the crime. Later, they went to the red light district. Later, they went to Chetla, another red light district in South Kolkata.
They allegedly molested a girl on the way to Chetla.
After returning to the hospital, Sanjay Roy went to the corridor near the seminar hall at 4.03 a.m.
India Today reported that after allegedly raping and killing the woman, he went to the house of his friend Anupam Dutta.
A TOI report claimed Sanjay Roy gave misleading responses that were flagged by the polygraph machine.
The CBI drafted a psychoanalytic profile of the accused, which revealed that he was severely addicted to pornography. Several porn clips were found on his phone.
She had gone to the seminar hall to rest when she was raped and murdered. She had 25 external and internal injuries and was smothered to death.
On Saturday, Dr Sandip Ghosh, the ex-principal of the college, was also subjected to a lie detector test by the CBI.
According to the Supreme Court, the Kolkata Police took over 12 hours to register the FIR last week.
Moreover, Sandip Ghosh attempted to pass the rape and murder off as suicide.
