News:
Malayalam actor Jayasurya has issued a strong denial in response to sexual harassment allegations made against him by former actress Minu Muneer and others. The actor, who is currently in the United States with his family, released a statement today, expressing his heartbreak and shock over the accusations, which he described as false.
In his statement, Jayasurya, who is also celebrating his 46th birthday today, said that the allegations have "shattered" him and his family. He assured his fans and the public that he will take legal action to address the claims and promised to return to Kerala as soon as he completes his current commitments in the US.
Jayasurya also took a moment to sarcastically thank those who made his birthday "painful" by spreading the accusations. "To all of you who have wished me on my birthday today, and to those who are standing by me, thank you. My family and I have been in America for the past month, and during this time, two false allegations of sexual harassment were made against me. Naturally, it has shattered me, my family, and everyone close to me," the actor wrote.
He further stated, "I have decided to pursue this matter legally. My legal team will handle all proceedings related to this case. False accusations are easy to make for those who lack a conscience. I hope people understand that being falsely accused of harassment is just as painful as the act itself. Although lies may spread faster than the truth, I believe the truth will eventually prevail."
Expressing his faith in the judicial system, Jayasurya concluded by saying, "I will return as soon as my work here is done. All legal proceedings to prove my innocence will continue. I have full faith in our judicial system. Thank you to those who contributed to making this birthday the most painful one. Let those without sin cast the first stone, but only at those who have sinned."
