24-Year-Old Man Dies After SUV Driven by Teen Hits His Bike in Mumbai
A 24-year-old man, Navin Vaishnaw, tragically lost his life early Thursday morning in Mumbai's Goregaon area when a speeding SUV, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old boy, collided with his motorcycle. Vaishnaw, who was out distributing milk, was struck by the Mahindra Scorpio, which was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road.

After the collision, the SUV crashed into an electric pole. The 17-year-old driver, who sustained injuries during the crash, attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by the police. Following the incident, the police quickly arrived at the scene, where they transported Vaishnaw to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The police have registered a case against the 17-year-old driver, as well as against Iqbal Jivani, the SUV's 48-year-old owner, and his son, Mohammed Faz Iqbal Jivani, 21. The SUV was seized by the authorities, and all three individuals, including the minor, were arrested after police reviewed CCTV footage of the incident.

In an effort to determine whether the teenage driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, the police have sent his blood samples to a laboratory for analysis. Additionally, an investigation is underway to ascertain whether the accused had been partying with friends prior to the accident, as reported by PTI.
