Mumbai wall collapses, killing two and injuring one
A wall collapsed at an under-construction building in Mumbai's Kalbadevi area, resulting in the deaths of two workers and an injury to one. Rescue operations were promptly conducted by the fire department.
Tuesday evening, two workers were killed and another injured when a wall collapsed in Mumbai's Kalbadevi Chira Bazaar neighborhood. The incident occurred at around 5:20 PM when a 30-foot-long compound wall, approximately 5 to 7 feet high, suddenly gave way in the passage between two structures at the Gandhi building.
The incident
As a result of the collapse, a number of workers were trapped under the debris. The rescue teams arrived on the scene shortly after the incident and began searching for survivors.
Casualties
As a result of the incident, three people were initially rescued and rushed to GT Hospital. However, upon arrival, two of the victims, both 30 years old, were declared "brought dead." According to medical officials, the third victim, a 19-year-old, is in stable condition at the hospital.
