According to reports, the main accused, a scrap dealer, allegedly broke into the minor's home through the back door, drugged her, and, with the help of his accomplices, sexually assaulted her. The victim was also physically beaten during the attack.
The next day, news of the crime spread throughout the community, leading to widespread anger. Locals, dissatisfied with the arrest of only one suspect, took to the streets, vandalizing shops and setting several vehicles ablaze in the area.
